Having been involved with art in one way or another virtually all of his life, Morris is an accomplished and creative painter whose works are in high demand. He is also an accomplished sculptor of wood, and has worked with stained glass for more than thirty years.
Morris paintings have been exhibited throughout the United States and Canada, where he has acquired a fine collection of ribbons and awards. Currently, his work can be seen in a number of Florida galleries, and he is available for private or group classes. Through the use of the techniques he has developed through the years, any beginner is sure to leave his class with a complete, beautiful painting, ready for hanging.
Morris is also available for live demos at conventions, fundraisers, or other events. He is always interested in meeting others who share his love of art and is happy to hear "the other guys point of view." His television show, "Painting with Morris,"
was aired on Channel 15 (WCEU) in Daytona Beach, Florida,.
Though mostly self taught through studying and doing, watching older and better artists, and collecting knowledge and experience from wherever it was to be found, Morris was able to learn a great deal from the schools he attended and the private teachers who helped him along the way. The Ecole des Beaux Arts in Canada, the Brooklyn Museum of Fine Arts in New York City, and two years in Bordeaux, France also contributed to his formal education.
Morris was born in Canada, where he began drawing pictures before he started school. He completed his first painting at the age of ten, and has never stopped. In 1983 Morris and his wife moved to the United States, where they reside in Deltona, Florida.
